My Resume

My dedication to the arts is proven by my work in the theatre.

I have two degrees in theatre: a BA in Theatre Arts (with a minor in Studio Art) from Saint Mary's University and a MA in Shakespeare from the University of Kent in Canterbury. Although I started with an interest in technical theatre, my interests have changed to theatre education, theatre theory, and theatre administration.

While in England, I had the chance to work with theatre practitioners from the Globe Theatre and the RSC. My time in England culminated with the successful completion of my dissertation which focused on the censorship of West Side Story in England during the fifties. This involved research at the British Library and the Victoria and Albert Theatre Archives.

I have presented my dissertation topic at the Master's Degree Symposium in the Spring of 2015 and have also done extensive research on the use of Yorick in recent productions of Hamlet. Also, in the Spring of 2015, I helped devise and present an original piece on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew.

I have worked with and attended workshops with Punchdrunk in NYC and London. And have focused on creating and developing new works for the stage with the Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook, IL and with the Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat.

In my spare time, I love to draw and create my own artwork.
